Stylist Gerard Vallecello blends his European aesthetic with the
innate glamour that he radiates. He dresses some of the most
notable Hollywood starlets and also the women in his life that he
finds inspirational. Recently he worked with Lisa Collamore Tocci,
Director of Ovations for the Cure, Chic: Cure her in Couture events,
and styled a mother and philanthropist with the intention to
showcase a woman who radiates an inner beauty and strength that
is eternally fabulous.
His company, GV Enterprises LLC, specializes in fashion
consulting, editorial direction, fashion event coordination and the
styling of several public figures and celebrities for red carpet and
promotional appearances worldwide. Rarely do you come across a
stylist that elicits such charm, and his appreciation of quality and
timelessness is a much-welcomed attribute. Gerard possesses the kind of jet-set sophistication common among the
fashion industry, but his appeal is most greatly evident in his kind and caring nature, and ability to enhance the beauty in
life.
UPSCALE LIVING MAGAZINE: Where did you grow up, and where do you live now?
GERARD: I grew up between Spain, Italy & France while attending boarding schools. Later on reaching the age of 12, I
moved with my father to the country of Guatemala, my father who is a doctor was conducting studies on epidemidiology
there. After that I moved back to America and enrolled in high school and college in the city of Providence RI. I've also lived
in Miami Beach Fl. and Boston Ma. I now live in New York City.
UPSCALE LIVING MAGAZINE: Did your European upbringing influence your style?
GERARD: Yes of course, the elegance and style that naturally flows thru out the air of Europe has definably made an
impact on my style yet it doesn't define it. One’s personal style should be achieved by one’s on personality.
UPSCALE LIVING MAGAZINE: Who are your favorite designers?
GERARD: I have many favorite brands; as for actual designers I am very found of Tom Ford’s work
now and before while at house of Gucci. I adore John Galliano for Dior. Elie Saab and I will say my forever favorite is Yves
Saint Laurent for his early work and for the work he did while he was the head of his house I also think Stefano Pilati does
for a great job designing for the brand. Marquesa, Carolina Herrera & Oscar De la Renta remain very close to my heart.
UPSCALE LIVING MAGAZINE: What is your inspiration in life?
GERARD: My inspiration is the beauty that is given to us by the world around us and that many of us fail to or ignore to
see. The sky, trees, oceans, deserts, the beauty of nature. The appetite of life and glamour inspires me everyday.
UPSCALE LIVING MAGAZINE: Who is your favorite client?
GERARD: Seeing Kerry Underwood happy on the red carpet has always been a pleasure.
UPSCALE LIVING MAGAZINE: Who is your dream client?
GERARD: Angelina Jolie Pitt
UPSCALE LIVING MAGAZINE: What is your favorite red carpet moment?
GERARD: The forever-beautiful Penelope Cruz in Atelier Versace for the 2007, 81st academy Awards (The Oscars)
UPSCALE LIVING MAGAZINE: What is your best styling advise for women?
GERARD: Be confident when you dress. It is not an easy task but it is easily achieved by self-acceptance and self-
honesty as well as trusting your stylist.
UPSCALE LIVING MAGAZINE: Name your essential accessories for men and women?
GERARD: For men: A quality briefcase, great pair sunglasses, a nice pair of black and brown shoes, mouth spray and
pinky gold ring. For woman: Your it bag, (a lot can be said by the bag a woman carries), an evening clutch, a great pair of
pumps & flats, a pair studded diamond earrings, an eyelash curler and a powerful yet clean mascara.
UPSCALE LIVING MAGAZINE: When do you feel the most fulfilled?
GERARD: When I am working and when get to spend time with my not many but very good friends. I also love to spend
time with my mother.
