Profile of the Moment
Between the combination of his rugged good looks, and

undeniable charm, Matthew Settle is an actor buzzed about in

households all over the world. Known best as one of the stars of

The CW network's hit drama series GOSSIP GIRL where he was

nominated for a TEEN CHOICE AWARD, he is now also set to

star alongside Miley Cyrus in the film “So Undercover” set to

release October 2011. After staring as Billy Flynn in the

Broadway hit “Chicago” for a 64 show run during his last hiatus

from “Gossip Girl,” this break finds Settle producing and starring

in “Happy & Bleeding” with Swedish actress Katia Winter

(Unmade Beds).  Prior to these projects, Matthew headed west

starred among a talented cast in TNT's epic six-week television

event, “Into the West,” executive produced by Steven Spielberg

and produced by DreamWorks. In the largest production ever

undertaken by TNT network, “Into the West” was nominated for

16 Emmy awards.

Settle's past projects include: the ABC series “Brothers and Sisters,” NBC’s “ER,” and FOX’s David E. Kelly series “The

Wedding Bells.”  In addition, he was a part of Callie Khouri's film adaptation of “Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood,” in

which he starred opposite Ashley Judd; HBO's award-winning miniseries, “Band of Brothers,” (also produced by Steven

Spielberg) in which he portrayed the legendary Captain Ronald Speirs; Jonathan Mostow's WWII submarine drama  “U-571,”

and a critically lauded portrayal of Warren Beatty in  Peter Bogdanovich's “The Mystery of Natalie Wood.” Matthew resides

in New York City with his daughter Aven.
