UPSCALE LIVING: How did you come up with the idea of starting your business?
MISHELL: The concept for Elite Wellness was developed by the desire to create not just a program to
meet goals, but to assist in creating a lifestyle to maintain them. Through that desire Elite Wellness was
created. We assist clients in meeting and maintaining their wellness goals while providing exceptional
service. We're not a luxury we're a lifestyle.
UPSCALE LIVING: What are your dreams and goals for yourself and your business?
MISHELL: My goal is to grow the Elite Wellness services and brand, while maintaing the exceptionally
personalized services that we offer clients in assisting them create the lifestyle they desire. Its my
personal belief that when I accomplish a goal, its a stepping stone for a bigger goal; so this is how I build
my success and this is what I live by. I am blessed to have gotten this far.
UPSCALE LIVING: What are the challenges that you've faced, and how you've been able to surpass
those challenges?
MISHELL: As a small business owner I am sure I've faced many of the same challenges as many
entrepreneurs . I think that is where creativity becomes important, the ability to adjust to the changing
climate is key. In one instance, I can be a very shy person when in large groups. Fortunately, I was able
to conquer my shyness by settings a goal to talk with a certain number of people at each outing; and
before I knew it, I was a natural.
UPSCALE LIVING: What would you say to the young women and men out there what is like to start a
business?
MISHELL: I would tell young women and men to go after their dreams. Do any and everything to
accomplish your goals. Furthermore, I'll tell young entrepreneurs, don't let fear or nay-sayers stop you. I'll
inform them that starting a business is very demanding and it takes a lot of commitment; and that money
will not come fast or easy, but it will pay off in the end if you love what you do.
